among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
both to those who are being saved and to those who are on the road to destruction.
Last night Cathy, my wife, led a worship service at a nursing home. I have visited many nursing homes and hospitals over the years. This one had a pleasant smell. Not all do. But that wasn’t what made me think of my silly reminder of what it smells like when I leave the room. It was the impact that the attitudes of the residents, care givers and fellow visitors had on me.
How about you? What kind of attitude or “aroma” are you leaving with others these days? Is it the aroma of Christ? Something a little less pleasant?
Is there someone you might spend a little time with who could share some of the pleasing aroma of Christ with you? It could be in person or even in a memory of someone whose been Christlike to you. Is there somewhere you could get away to that might help adjust your attitude? It doesn’t have to be a visit to a hospital or nursing home. But let's be mindful of the "aroma" we leave for others.
