“If you’ve heard this story before …”
My Uncle Bill was a great story teller. He enjoyed telling stories and we enjoyed listening to them.
Every once in a while he would say, “If you’ve heard this story before,” then he would pause and smile or laugh and say, “Please don’t stop me. I like telling it.”
My Uncle Bill loved telling his stories. His stories became a beloved and important part of our family life.
As disciples of Jesus, we have all have a good story to tell too. Do we like telling our story? Are we telling it?
I love to tell the story, ’tis pleasant to repeat,
What seems each time I tell it more wonderfully sweet;
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.
