Based on the recommendation of a friend, Cathy planned part of our vacation in northern Michigan. Cathy reserved a campsite in Straits State Park for two nights. We didn’t know it was in the Upper Peninsula. That meant crossing the Mackinac Bridge to get there. Some of you have crossed it, but here is a picture for those of you who haven’t.
Making it across the bridge was more than a relief, it delivered us on the other side to three days of natural beauty, exploring, and relaxation I'm sure we will never forget. Here are a few pictures.
The view of the bridge from our campsite and the beach at Straits State Park was a bit more relaxing than when we crossed it! We took many pictures of that beautiful bridge.
How good are you at "crossing the bridge" when you need a break?
Many readers of this blog are hard workers. Many have a heart of service to others. It’s important to remember even Jesus got away at times. Jesus needed time to renew His strength with prayer and rest. Time away to rest and renew His Spirit gave Jesus the ability to be fully present with people when He was with them. The same is true for us.
